HTTPS and SSL

HTTPS is a secure protocol to transfer data between our server and your computer. Part of the process is the exchange of SSL certificates to ensure the website you are contacting really is who it claims to be.

These certificates are usually provided by a 3rd party who can vouch for the identity of the website in question. An alternative to this is to use what is known as a self-signed SSL certificate, this is where the website itself vouches for its own identity. This type of connection is just as secure however, most browsers will display a security warning indicating that the certificate is self-signed.

You may either temporarily accept the certificate, or if you are a regular user of the website you may wish to install our certificate and you will not be prompted again.

If you wish you can check the certificate has the serial number: 00:96:88:0F:C8:AD:67:EA:19

In the future we may upgrade to a 3rd party signed certificate, but while our user base is small we do not see the need to currently take this step.
